aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-2231\"><p class=\"lead\"><strong>Empowering data-informed engineering from smarter data, sensing and hybrid modelling<\/strong><\/p><p>The massive use of data in engineering applications, involving autonomous systems in general and mobility in particular, implies the massive deployment of data-acquisition, data mining and machine learning. However, in engineering applications too many data become counterproductive, because the cost of collection (including the sensors price), the cost of data-transfer, data-treatment, \u2026 mainly when real-time decision making is expected in critical systems.<\/p><p>This presentation will focus on a more frugal data-informed engineering, conciliating few data with efficiency without degrading accuracy. Thus, smarter data (by answering the three main questions: what data, where and when), smartly treated (deployed into sensors and actuators) combined with smarter modeling (physics-informed and augmented learnings), \u2026 becomes major protagonists of a next frugal but always efficient engineering.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-accordion-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-title-2232\" class=\"elementor-tab-title\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"tab\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-2232\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-accordion-icon elementor-accordion-icon-left\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-accordion-icon-closed\"><i class=\"fas fa-plus\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-accordion-icon-opened\"><i class=\"fas fa-minus\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a class=\"elementor-accordion-title\" href=\"\">Biographie<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-2232\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-2232\"><p>Francisco Chinesta est actuellement Professeur titulaire de physique computationnelle \u00e0 l&rsquo;ENSAM (Paris, France), membre honoraire de l&rsquo;Institut Universitaire de France &#8211; IUF- et membre de l&rsquo;Acad\u00e9mie royale espagnole d&rsquo;ing\u00e9nierie.<\/p><p>Il est pr\u00e9sident du comit\u00e9 scientifique d&rsquo;ESI et directeur de son d\u00e9partement scientifique. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 (2008-2012) professeur titulaire de la chaire AIRBUS et depuis 2013, il est professeur titulaire de la chaire ESI sur la mod\u00e9lisation et la simulation avanc\u00e9es des mat\u00e9riaux, structures, processus et syst\u00e8mes. Il a re\u00e7u de nombreux prix scientifiques (parmi lesquels le prix IACM Fellow, le prix IACM Zienkiewicz, le prix ESAFORM, &#8230;).<\/p><p>Ses principales recherches portent sur le d\u00e9veloppement de technologies de r\u00e9duction de l&rsquo;ordre des mod\u00e8les et d&rsquo;intelligence artificielle. Il est l&rsquo;auteur de plus de 350 articles dans des revues internationales \u00e0 comit\u00e9 de lecture et de plus de 900 contributions \u00e0 des conf\u00e9rences.<\/p><p>Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sident de l&rsquo;association fran\u00e7aise de m\u00e9canique computationnelle (CSMA) et est directeur du groupe de recherche du CNRS (GdR) sur les techniques de r\u00e9duction de l&rsquo;ordre des mod\u00e8les en sciences de l&rsquo;ing\u00e9nieur, \u00e9diteur et \u00e9diteur associ\u00e9 de nombreuses revues. Il a re\u00e7u de nombreuses distinctions, parmi lesquelles les palmes acad\u00e9miques, l&rsquo;ordre du m\u00e9rite fran\u00e7ais, &#8230; en 2018 le doctorat Honoris Causa \u00e0 l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 de Saragosse (Espagne) et en 2019 la m\u00e9daille d&rsquo;argent du CNRS fran\u00e7ais. Il est actuellement le directeur du programme de recherche CNRS@CREATE &#8211; NRF sur la mod\u00e9lisation intelligente pour la prise de d\u00e9cision dans les syst\u00e8mes urbains critiques (35 M\u20ac et plus de 160 chercheurs forme de r\u00e9seaux de neurones g\u00e9n\u00e9ratifs est un sujet de recherche actif avec des applications prometteuses. Dans un certain sens, les priors g\u00e9n\u00e9ratifs remplacent la parcimonie dans leur capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 capturer la structure pertinente dans les donn\u00e9es permettant la compression du signal. D&rsquo;un point de vue th\u00e9orique, l&rsquo;analyse des performances avec des priors de r\u00e9seaux de neurones g\u00e9n\u00e9ratifs est beaucoup plus difficile que pour la parcimonie. Dans cet expos\u00e9, je passerai en revue une ligne de travail d\u00e9rivant des r\u00e9sultats th\u00e9oriques pour les priors g\u00e9n\u00e9ratifs avec des matrices de poids al\u00e9atoires. Dans ce cas, une analyse fine des performances est possible avec le passage de message approximatif multicouche et son \u00e9volution d&rsquo;\u00e9tat. L&rsquo;analyse se g\u00e9n\u00e9ralise aux matrices convolutionnelles al\u00e9atoires. Au passage, je passerai en revue des m\u00e9thodes issues de la physique statistique telles que les algorithmes de passage de messages approch\u00e9s et leurs propri\u00e9t\u00e9s.<\/p><p>Abstract: Signal processing with prior distributions in the form of generative neural networks is an active research topic with promising applications. In a certain sense generative priors replace sparsity in their capacity to capture relevant structure in the data allowing for compression of the signal. From a theoretical point of view, analysis of performance with generative neural network priors is way more challenging than for sparsity. In this talk, I will review a line of work deriving theoretical results for generative priors with weight matrices being random. In this case, a tight analysis of the performance is possible with multi-layer approximate message passing and its state evolution. The analysis generalizes to random convolutional matrices. She spent two years in the Los Alamos National Laboratory as the Director&rsquo;s Postdoctoral Fellow. Between 2010 and 2020 she was\u00a0a\u00a0researcher at CNRS working in the Institute of Theoretical Physics in CEA Saclay, France. In 2014, she was awarded the CNRS bronze medal, in 2016 Philippe Meyer prize in theoretical physics and an ERC Starting Grant, in 2018 the Ir\u00e8ne Joliot-Curie prize, in 2021 the Gibbs lectureship of AMS and the Neuron Fund award. She is an editorial board member for Journal of Physics A, Physical Review E, Physical Review X, SIMODS, Machine Learning: Science and Technology, and Information and Inference.<\/p><p>Lenka&rsquo;s expertise is in applications of concepts from statistical physics, such as advanced mean field methods, replica method and related message-passing algorithms, to problems in machine learning, signal processing, inference and optimization. Elle correspond alors \u00e0 un contr\u00f4leur classique avec comme entr\u00e9e des signaux classiques issus de mesures quantiques, et comme sortie des signaux aussi classiques et param\u00e9trant l\u2019\u00e9volution quantique du syst\u00e8me physique. La correction d\u2019erreur quantique peut aussi exploiter la dissipation associ\u00e9e au ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne de d\u00e9coh\u00e9rence. Elle utilise alors un feedback stabilisant o\u00f9 le contr\u00f4leur est un syst\u00e8me auxiliaire quantique dissipatif.<\/p><p>Cet expos\u00e9 porte sur la conception de tels contr\u00f4leurs quantiques. Les dynamiques sont gouvern\u00e9es par les \u00e9quations ma\u00eetresses quantiques (\u00e9quations diff\u00e9rentielles de Gorini\u2013Kossakowski\u2013Sudarshan\u2013Lindblad) r\u00e9gissant l\u2019\u00e9volution temporelle des \u00e9tats quantiques (op\u00e9rateur densit\u00e9 rempla\u00e7ant, pour un syst\u00e8me quantique avec d\u00e9coh\u00e9rence, la fonction d\u2019onde). La conception et l\u2019analyse de convergence sont fond\u00e9es sur des techniques de moyennisation (approximations du champ tournant) et des m\u00e9thodes de perturbations singuli\u00e8res (\u00e9limination adiabatique). Un cas particulier important, o\u00f9 le contr\u00f4leur est un oscillateur harmonique quantique coupl\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re coh\u00e9rente au syst\u00e8me stockant l\u2019information quantique, est d\u00e9taill\u00e9. De 2007 \u00e0 2018, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 directeur du d\u00e9partement \u00ab\u00a0Math\u00e9matiques et Syst\u00e8mes\u00a0\u00bb \u00e0 Mines Paris.
